Our individual food choices and gardening practices can impact our collective need to urgently shift our contributions towards ever-rapid climate changes. We can all grow some of our own healing foods: sprouts in an apt., simple garden containers, or plots in healthy soil. We’ll look at Biodynamics and Permaculture design; avoiding convenient, disposable gimmicks; the critical importance of natural mulches in water conservation and sequestering carbon in the soil; and avoiding micro-plastics which are responsible for great contamination in local waters and Mother Ocean. Looking forward, how do we transition to plants which survive drier, hotter conditions? Our survival seeks the ancient wisdom of once more living in harmony with Nature.
