Nyssa’s 2020 Florida Herbal Conference classes include:
Bridging the Gap between Aromatherapy and Herbalism
Aromatherapy and Herbalism don’t always intersect though they are related fields that use many of the same materials. When it comes to an herbalists use of essential oils, there are some common misconceptions. There is also a variety of ways these modalities can (and I’d argue, should) be used together.
In this workshop, you’ll discover what are the major do’s and don’t when it comes to using essential oils in your herbalism practice, an easy check list to decide if herbal or essential oils might be the better choice, and new ways of bringing your essential oils into your herbal practice. You’ll leave with a new appreciation for the rich world of plant medicine at our fingers tips and hopefully be reinsured to dust off your essential oil bottles and try out some new remedies.
Emotional Healing and Aromatherapy
Emotional stress effects many of us throughout our life. Aromatics have the power to effect our mind on both a conscious and unconscious level. With the right guidance, you can take your emotional health into your own hands by using aromatherapy.
In this class you’ll discover why it’s not about finding the “right” oil, but how you can find what works for you. You’ll learn a simple brain trick that can help you in almost any situation. You’ll also find out what common oils we recommend for anxiety, depression, overwhelm, and insomnia. Last, you’ll get to experience using a scent to calm the mind.
You’ll leave with skills you can use immediately, and resources for how to learn more.
