Being born and raised in South Florida, Monique Renee Moyer has a special love for the native and tropical plants in the area. This year she created an herbal retreat experience in South Florida, Medicina Tropical, with two other local herbalists.
Monique works with clients to guide them towards balance and healing with herbs, and lifestyle changes. She is a full spectrum doula, providing client support for a wide range of reproductive related experiences. She works with her clients to safely and supportively use herbs during these times when desired. In addition Monique runs a garden2table program for elementary and middle school students and trains teachers to incorporate gardening into their class curriculum. Monique has learned from many herbalists over the years and studied most extensively with 7Song at the Northeastern School of Botanical Medicine. Monique has a strong passion for social justice and strives to incorporate it in all that she does.

FLORIDA PLANTS FOR POSTPARTUM CARE with Monique Moyer
Many traditional cultures share commonalities in postpartum protocols that involve ritual, rest, nutrition and herbs. These nourishing practices are used to promote healing and long term health. There is less focus on this important time of healing and recovery in today’s western cultures. Join herbalist & doula, Monique Renee, in exploring postpartum care as a vital aspect of birth support. We will discuss and demonstrate how plants found in south Florida are used to support our clients and loved ones during this crucial period of healing and recovery.
