Laney Sullivan is a musician and artist from Virginia. She has been teaching pine needle basket weaving and free from vine basket making for several years. Originally taught by elder Nancy basket, with Nancy’s blessing Laney shares coil basket techniques working with Pineneedles.

Come make a coaster/medallion to start and receive instructions on how to continue your form into a basket on your own time. During the workshop Laney will also talk about the history and struggles of the native Long Leaf Pine and its habitat in the South Eastern United States.
