A: This is a one-day event so there will not be any on-site lodging options for 2025.
For those who will be commuting, there will be parking available.
If you would like to stay off-site, we have compiled some great, local options that we hope will help you find a great place to stay. Please see the lodging page for more information.
A: We will not be offering a meal plan for 2025.
There will be food trucks available if you would like to purchase food on-site.
We encourage you to bring a cooler with food and drinks for the day, should you choose! It's a great opportunity to plan a picnic with friends and choose a spot amongst the trees to dine with family, friends, and classmates.
Please note, there is no alcohol permitted on property for this event.
A: Florida weather in early-March may be chilly in the morning and sunny in the afternoons, but sporadic rain is always a possibility in the unpredictable South.
As a result, we recommend bringing a wide range of clothing and footwear as explained in the What To Bring section.
Be sure to check the weather forecast the week of the event for planning.
A: We do not provide childcare, and we will not have a youth program available for 2025.
A: In fact, the conference is organized by the Florida School of Holistic Living, a 501c3 non-profit organization, and as a result the conference does have non-profit status and will provide a tax-deduction receipt for all contributions.
You can make your donation at this link, earmarked for the Florida Herbal Conference Scholarship Fund.
A: There will be parking available both on Mead Botanical Garden property and we are working to partner with local churches and properties near the venue to create more options.
More details will be released as the event gets closer.
That said, we encourage you to carpool if possible!
A: Due to the nature of event planning, deposits, and commitments made well in advance, all registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
We love our furry family members as much as you, but we ask that you leave your pets at home for this one-day event.
Trained service animals are permitted; if they do not bear visible badges, you may be asked about the nature of their service at entry.
A: The Florida Herbal Conference is a regional gathering intended to cultivate herbalism community within the state of Florida. If you reside in Florida, hold practice in Florida, teach in Florida or are otherwise active with our bioregional botanical medicine, please feel free to contact us to inquire about availability and to apply to teach.
If you do not reside in Florida or otherwise maintain an active practice here, we regret we do not accept submissions from out-of-state herbalists beyond our two keynote slots. Our intention is to build community within Florida and we reserve our teaching spaces for those herbalists who can receive energy through teaching at the conference and return it to our Florida community in their individual work.
This is an intentional decision to specifically uplift our southern community which has historically been disconnected from other regional herbalism gatherings, and we appreciate your understanding.
